Motorway

You can come down the M5 to Exeter, turn left towards Sidmouth. After about 8 miles and Newton Poppleford (village). Later going down a hill there is a road for Sidmouth, Do not turn right for Sidmouth but keep onto Sidford, its a small village, on and after the staggered crossroads, (petrol Station on the left before. Continue though the Village just over the small bridge is the Blue Ball Inn, on the left, Please take care when turning right over the road to the car park (where the high sign for the Blue Ball is).

A303 ... you can come from the A303 and then the A30 to Honiton and then some lovely countryside into Sidford.

A35 ... from the Bournmouth direction on the A35, later the A3052 and just before Sidford, at the bottom of the hill is the Blue Ball on the right hand side. Note, Turn sharp left into the Carpark.

We are approximately 2 miles from the sea at Sidmouth. Drive though Sidford or there is a lovely back road, just up the hill a little that leads to Sidmouth. We are in the heart of East Devon and there are plenty of walks, inland or along the cliffs. You can drive up to the Observatory and walk to the cliff on the flat where there is a fantastic view down to Sidmouth or along the coast to Weymouth and beyond.

Walk to Sidmouth from Sidford, there is a lovely 2 mile walk in the countryside and the small river right into the Byes (the lovely garden), walk next to it for half a mile into Sidmouth
